About Me

I am a Kansas native and have been in the helping professions for over five years, and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist (LCP).

Starting therapy can be a somewhat intimidating first step in improving your mental health, which is why I strive to create a welcoming and open environment for my clients.  I have been passionate about mental health and the study of psychology since early in my academic career, and I thoroughly enjoy providing support and healing for people of all walks of life.

Every individual has their own unique story and background, which is something that I value and respect with each of my clients. I believe in cultivating a healthy and strong therapeutic relationship built upon empathy and trust; it is an essential part of the healing process.

I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist.

My Specialties

I am happy to work with adults, young adults, and adolescents.  My specific focus is on clients who desire help in working on the following issues, among others:

  • Anxiety/Stress
  • Coping skills & wellness
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Depression
  • ADHD related concerns (including evaluation and testing)
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Life Transitions
  • Relationship or Family Conflict
  • Self Esteem
  • Trauma
  • LGBTQ+ concerns

My Treatment Approach

I enjoy working with clients to maximize their own wellness and overall well-being; which I conceptualize as embodying prolonged happiness and satisfaction in different areas of life.

As I have developed and honed my clinical skills as a therapist, I have come to value an integrative and holistic approach to therapy. I believe this provides the best care for my clients, and enables us to maintain a collaborative relationship that is essential for healing and rapport.

My initial therapeutic approach draws upon a variety of techniques and interventions commonly used in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps us to understand and improve upon our core beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors.  I also utilize Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), which is commonly used in treating clients suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I am also available to conduct assessments, including comprehensive psychological evaluations and ADHD evaluations/testing and to provide documentation of ADHD diagnoses in appropriate cases.

Accepted Insurance Plans

I currently accept Ambetter and all Kansas Medicaid plans, including:

  • United KanCare
  • Sunflower
