Couples’ / Marital Counseling

Several of our therapists work with couples. Couples therapy is different in many ways from individual therapy–in many respects, it is more intensive and requires specific training and experience on the part of the therapist. Couples’ therapy usually involves an intense focus on improving communication patterns within the couple; the therapist helps the couple to learn to resolve conflicts together and to find common ground to improve the relationship.

PCIT and Play Therapy

Several of our therapists work with children, including children as young as two years of age. For older children and teens, our therapists offer traditional talk therapy, tailored as appropriate to the age of the specific client. For younger children, we offer a variety of options, including play therapy. We also have therapists that practice PCIT (Parent Child Interactive Therapy), which is a cutting-edge modality in which parents and children participate in therapy together to learn skills and help to address behavior issues.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) s a mental health treatment method that involves using ketamine’s trance-inducing and pain-relieving properties to help individuals work through various mental and emotional challenges.

For several decades, researchers have looked into the uses of psychedelic substances like psilocybin (commonly associated with magic mushrooms) and MDMA (commonly associated with ecstasy) as an alternative and/or supplement to traditional talk therapy.

Ketamine has been increasingly prescribed as an off-label treatment for various chronic treatment-resistant mental health conditions, such as depression, alcohol and other substance dependencies, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and other psychiatric diagnoses. It is distinguished from other psychotropic medications by its rapid onset, often producing transient relief in as soon as a few hours.
