Therapy provides a unique space where people can be accepted and supported in a non-judgmental way. I strive to provide a space where individuals can be their authentic self, be heard, and enjoy their time in therapy. My primary goal is to help people live their lives head-on, which means to live by their values and not by passing thoughts and feelings that can prevent valued living. I look forward to meeting with you!
I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. Some of the primary areas of focus when working with clients include:
· Adjustment difficulties
My therapy approach is respectful, relational, and results-focused. I view therapy as a collaborative process, where we can cultivate encouragement, hope, and growth together. While we can’t always control what happens to us, I deeply believe each individual possesses the ability to respond in an adaptive way. Each person has strengths and abilities to adjust to situations, and the therapy process allows people to focus on these strengths, as well as creating new ones.
I operate from a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) theoretical framework. CBT is a very down-to-earth approach that examines how our thoughts impact the way we feel and act. CBT is useful in helping people understand the “why” behind what they are experiencing, and equips people with skills that lead to personal growth.
Presently, I do not accept insurance; my per-session rate for a 55-minute therapy session is $125.00.
