Several of our therapists work with couples. Couples therapy is different in many ways from individual therapy--in many respects, it is more intensive and requires specific training and experience on the part of the therapist. Couples' therapy usually involves an intense focus on improving communication patterns within the couple; the therapist helps the couple to learn to resolve conflicts together and to find common ground to improve the relationship.
Group therapy, in which there are many participants in the same session, typically utilizes interactions between and among group members to facilitate positive changes. Our group therapy offerings typically revolve around a common issue or goal.
At present, none of our therapists are offering group therapy. Please check back with us though, as we anticipate offering a variety of group therapy options in the future!
Several of our therapists work with children, including children as young as two years of age. For older children and teens, our therapists offer traditional talk therapy, tailored as appropriate to the age of the specific client. For younger children, we offer a variety of options, including play therapy. We also have therapists that practice PCIT--Parent Child Interactive Therapy--which is a cutting-edge modality in which parents and children participate in therapy together to learn skills and help to address behavior issues.
At Ensō, we also offer a variety of testing and assessment services. These include ADHD/ADD testing and assessment, intelligence testing, psychological testing, and other options.
