About Me

I believe that every person deserves to feel heard and understood, and to know that they matter. I strive to help my clients move toward positive, long-lasting change. I recognize the importance of honoring client individuality, which ensures treatment that is tailored to each client’s specific needs. I am passionate about providing high-quality, strengths-based care to all clients and their families, and I believe a genuine therapeutic relationship is a key ingredient for all therapeutic change.

I am a licensed psychologist and earned my doctorate (PsyD) and master’s (MA) degrees in clinical psychology from the University of Indianapolis. I love opportunities to express my creativity, such as decorating my home and writing short stories for my nieces and nephews. My favorite at-home activity is cuddling with my kitties, Sarabi and Walter.

My Specialties

I have a wealth of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in private practice and community mental health settings. I have also worked with college and graduate students in a university counseling center setting.  Across these settings, I have emphasized genuine connection and person-centered care to treat a wide range of mental health concerns, including:

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Depression/mood disorders
  • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Disruptive behavior
  • Trauma
  • Emotion regulation

Additionally, I practice PCIT and enjoy working with children ages 2-7 in that capacity as we address behavioral concerns and other parenting challenges.

I offer parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) for children ages 2-7 and their caregiver(s) to address disruptive behaviors and parenting challenges. I also have extensive experience in psychological testing, including diagnostic evaluation for mood and anxiety disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual developmental disorder), and other psychological concerns.
